Samaritan’s Purse: Shoe box appeal
Year 8 pupils in Abbey Grammar school have taken part this year in ‘Operation Christmas Child’. This is a Christian relief and development organisation which works through local churches and schools to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God to children and families in need across Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Pupils have packed shoeboxes with lots of goodies and gifts with the hope of bringing joy into the lives of underprivileged children. Our focus as a school is to remind these poor children that God loves them and that they have not been forgotten at Christmas.
