Psychology is offered as an A Level. We follow the AQA Exam Board. It is a two year course with three exams taken at the end of 7th Year. Areas covered are (click on the link to find further information from the AQA website) –

Exams:
Three Exams are taken at the end of 7th Year:
Exam 1 (33% of marks) – Compulsory Sections 1-4
Exam 2 (33% of marks) – Compulsory Sections 5-7
Exam 3 (33% of marks – Compulsory Section 8 and one from Option 1, one from Option 2 and one from Option 3.
Each exam consists of
1. multiple choice questions
2. short answer questions and
3. extended writing (essay) questions.

AS Level Psychology
Students can also study AS Level Psychology. This course takes one year and there are two exams at the end of sixth year. [Students who opt for AS Psychology and later decide to take on the full A Level should note the AS Paper does not count towards the final A Level result.]
Compulsory Subject Content

Exams: There are two exams
Paper 1 (50%): Introductory Topics in Psychology. Compulsory Subject Content Units 1–3
Paper 2 (50%) : Psychology in Context. Compulsory Subject Content Units 4–6
Students who opt for AS Psychology and later decide to take on the full A Level should note the AS Paper does not count towards the final A Level result.
