The Curriculum in the Abbey Grammar school is a vibrant living organism which reflects current educational thinking and the educational interests and abilities of the pupils. The Curriculum is based on the principles of breadth, depth, balance and relevance so that our pupils may receive a broad, rounded education in their development years before they specialise at the top end of the school. In addition we strive to provide a curriculum which realises the aims of the school, reflects the ethos of Edmund Rice and is enjoyed by all our pupils. Following the dictates of the National Curriculum the school is divided into three sections each of which follows a set Curriculum as outlined.:
A useful guide to the Northern Ireland curriculum can be found at:

Our Curriculum is integrated with our Pastoral Care and SEN provision.
