Oisín McGrath Blitz

HUNDREDS of young Gaelic footballers today began their quest for silverware in a new tournament named in memory of schoolboy Oisín McGrath.

The Ulster Schools GAA Council have launched the Oisín McGrath Cup, which seen Year 8 pupils from more than 40 schools taking part.

The Abbey CBS team beat St Patrick’s Dungannon and St Pius X Magherafelt, but where beaten by a strong St Patrick’s Maghera team.
