APTA News

APTA (Abbey Parent & Teacher Association) recently held a Remembrance Mass for anyone associated with the Abbey Community – deceased past pupils, staff, governors, relatives and friends. All were remembered in prayers in the Mass celebrated by our chaplain Fr. Colum Murphy. Remembrance plaques for 2015 were blessed along with a book presented by APTA to the school to keep a permanent record of those who have died. The Abbey Choir assisted in the liturgy with reflective music and members of APTA led the readings and reflections. Many thanks to all who helped and came to support. It is hoped that this will become an annual event.
