Throughout the year, our Year 12 and 13 Wellbeing Ambassadors have been busy promoting positive mental health and wellbeing amongst the school community.
This involved offering mindfulness sessions for peers, displaying awareness posters, organising fundraising for
Aware NI, delivering assemblies to juniors, visiting form classes to deliver resources and breaking down barriers and stigmas surrounding mental health in the process.
Pictured with our wellbeing ambassadors (before the pizza disappeared), are Miss Magowan, Mental Health Co-ordinator, with Chairperson, Newry, Mourne and Down Council, Councillor Valerie Harte, Kerri Morrow, DEA Officer and Eamonn Connolly, Manager of Newry Bid, who funded the pizza and refreshments for our Wellbeing Ambassadors.
Well done boys, and we look forward to seeing what you have in store for next year!
