Students Head States Side

Principal, Mrs Savage, along with VP, Mr Ruddy congratulate Year 12 student, Tom Magill, as he heads off on Friday to Boston, USA 

Tom will complete a 2 week residential, based at the world famous Harvard University, on an academic pre-college programme.

What a day for Adam McCann-Gibbs, finishing his GCSE’s today with DA Physics exam and heading home to pack to head off to Ohio and Cleveland.

Adam is part of the Tadgh Leader Kicking Academy, and is the youngest in Ireland heading off on this amazing opportunity and adventure, to be assessed and have one to one coaching with coaches from NFL.

Adam went to a try out, when local star Charlie Smyth, was doing an exhibition.

Adam also plays for Official Down GAA minors, Glenn GFC along with Lurgan Soccer.

Who knows what will happen and you don’t know if you don’t try, but we wish him all the best in this very exciting adventure. Isn’t life all about taking chances….??
