SPECIAL OLYMPICS IRELAND – ANNUAL COLLECTION DAY – 29 APRIL 2022
Thank you to our Year 13 students who helped out with this collection on Friday.
Due to Covid restrictions this event has been postponed for the past two years so it is great to see it back on the calendar.
Collection Day is extremely important to Special Olympics Ireland and the athletes as it helps fund Sport, Health and Leadership programmes and has raised over €4.3 million in the last 10 years. This year they hope to raise €350,000 on the island of Ireland. It is encouraging to note that there is a growing number of people participating in Special Olympics activities in Ireland, and indeed in the Greater Newry area. With your support, children and adults with an intellectual disability across Ireland & Northern Ireland will continue to train and compete in the sports they love in their local community.
The Special Olympics Ireland Annual Collection in the Greater Newry area was co-ordinated by PKF-FPM Accountants Limited with assistance from Teleperformance.
