The Abbey Principal Mrs Gina Savage congratulated all the leavers on their results, delighted that the current cohort had continued to build on the strong tradition of outstanding success the Abbey has provided for boys from County Armagh and Down. She was also delighted that the Lower Sixth students had returned an excellent performance in their AS examinations providing them with a strong foundation going forward. She paid tribute, first and foremost to the students on the results of their hard work and endeavours but thanked staff, parents and the extended Abbey community for their dedication and support which was essential in allowing individual students to fulfil their potential.
The Principal Mrs Savage, VP Mr Ruddy, along with Head of Senior School Ms O’Hare and Upper Sixth Year Tutor Mrs Tohill, celebrate with high achievers. A level students attained a minimum of 3 or 4 A*/A grades at A level, or equivalent. This included Eoin Kernan, Eoin Mc Millan, Owen O’Neill, Senan O’Reilly, Oisin Hart, Rowan Cloughley, Conall McAvoy, Niall Fitzpatrick, Conor Murphy, Adam Phelan, Tom Shi, Shane Boyle, Ciaran Coghlan, Max Coyle, Finn Donnelly, Senan Loughran, Conor McArdle, Owen McCourt, Ronan McGivern, John-Paul McGreevy, Micheal McNulty, Donagh Murdock, Connor Pollard, Jamie Wallace, Matthew Hoey and Caolan Mulgrew.
