Match Report: Abbey CBS 0-8 vs 4-9 St. Pat’s Cavan

St. Pat’s Cavan secured a commanding victory over Abbey CBS in a hard-fought encounter, with a decisive breakaway goal proving to be a key turning point. Despite a positive start from Abbey CBS, which saw scores from Conal Grant and Aaron Quinn-Murphy, St. Pat’s capitalized on their opportunities to dominate the scoreboard.

Abbey CBS showed plenty of resilience and skill, with strong performances from defenders Eoin Behan and Cillian McCarthy, who held off several St. Pat’s attacks. The midfield battle was intense, with both teams going toe-to-toe in a physical contest. Abbey CBS worked hard in the middle of the park but struggled to match St. Pat’s attacking efficiency, particularly after conceding a fortuitous goal.

Despite the loss, Abbey CBS can take pride in their determined performance, particularly from their defence and the contributions of Grant and Quinn-Murphy in attack. However, St. Pat’s Cavan proved to be too clinical, closing out the game with a well-earned win.
