ERST Young Leadership Conference

Last week representatives of Year 13 and 14 attended the Edmund Rice Schools Trust Young Leadership Conference at St Comgall’s Centre in Belfast, alongside students from other ERST schools.

Daire Reel, Ronan Lynch, Conor Hughes-Johnston, Ronan Shiels, Cody Loye and Alan Sikora spoke to the other school representatives about the important social justice work we are involved in within our school including; the Zambia Immersion Project, Mental Health, Shared Education and outreach work with various charities.

They were joined by Senan McAvoy, Aditya Nair and Kieran Connolly with the groups working together together to work on a social justice action plan to bring back and put into practice.

The students heard about various social justice issues such as homelessness, poverty, mental health, climate change/environment and the work of the Gaza Paediatric Care Initiative. Thank you to Mr Devine and Ms McQuillan for attending with the students.
