Abbey Ski Trip 2025

Date Posted: 25th February 2025
Last day on the slopes ⛷
The last day skiing on the slopes is always a bittersweet experience. It’s filled with excitement as you get one final chance to enjoy the mountains, but there’s also a sense of sadness knowing it’s the end of an amazing trip.⛷The group spent the morning hitting the slopes one last time, pushing their skills to the limit with some fun challenges.
For many, it’s the final opportunity to perfect turns and making the most of the day by skiing their favorite runs, improving skills they’ve learned throughout the week. ⛷
The evening après ski entertainment involved the ‘Abbey Awards’ night. Celebrating every students individual success. Well done to each and every student who came on the Abbey 2025 Ski trip.
We are very proud of you.

Day 5 🎿🚡🚠⛷️

An excellent day had by all. Some ventured onto steeper slopes with lots of unexpected twists and turns. Some even face-planted into the soft fluffy snow, but we don’t name names! Today, some mastered the art of looking fabulous while sliding down the slope on their back.
It really was an excellent day, filled with fun and laughter. This evening après ski entertainment involved the Abbey students competing in the sports Italia soccer competition. Well done to the winning team! It’s off to bed tonight with an early start as tomorrow will be our last ski day on the Dolomites. Let’s make it a good one!

Day 4 🎿🚡🚠⛷️

Sun was shining, the Abbey boys were smiling and elegantly hugging the snow. What a day!

After a fun filled day of skiing, we spent our evening in the local pizzeria.

Everyone will sleep well tonight.

Day 3 🎿🚡🚠⛷️

Another fantastic day! Some conquered green, blue, red with some daring the black run.

After a fun filled day of skiing, we spent the evening with a very competitive après ski activity that involved an exciting and competitive quiz night.

Well done to everyone, especially the winning team who won with an incredible 58 points.

That’s us off to bed to rest the tired legs for another fantastic day of skiing tomorrow.

Day 2, on the slopes 🏂

A successful day was had by all. The favourable weather conditions, well-groomed slopes, and sheer determination of the Abbey students enabled them to progress their skill levels, considerably.
We laughed, we fell, we supported each other but most importantly we made memories, we built bonds, we cheered each other on whilst enjoying the stunning scenery.
This evening après ski entertainment involved the Abbey students competing in the sports Italia Basketball competition. Congratulations to our winning team,
Conor Keeley, Ronnie Sands, Garbhan King, Cillian Muckian, Dan Mc Kernan, Michael O Neill and Rio Loughran.
Well done to everyone!

Day 1:

⛷️Our skiers have arrived safe & sound in Italy, Madonna di Campiglio. As the sun sets over the Dolomites mountain range, all skiers are tucked up & ready for an early, 8am start.

And they are off……..✈️

Good luck to our amazing students, staff and parents who are ready to board for the #2025skitrip to Madonna Di Campiglio, Italy 🇮🇹
May the slopes be smooth, the laughs plenty, and the memories unforgettable. Have a blast and stay safe!
