Our Sixth Form football team bowed out of the semi-final today, losing 5–1 to Regent House at the Bluebell Stadium in Lisburn.
After conceding three early goals from set-piece situations, the boys showed great character and determination to rally. At 3–0 down they struck the post twice in the first half and were unfortunate not to reduce the deficit before the break.
James Fallon pulled a goal back shortly after half-time, and the team continued to push forward, creating numerous chances and dominating much of the second half. Despite the scoreline, there were a number of excellent performances across the pitch, with Frank Mulligan and Ciaran Watters particularly impressive after the interval.
Once again, the boys were outstanding ambassadors for the Abbey. For some of the squad, this marks their final match after two memorable years that saw them reach both a final and a semi-final.
Well done to all the players involved, and we wish Regent House the very best in the final.

🏆 Good Luck to Our Soccer Team! ⚽
