๐Ÿ€ U16 Basketball Ulster Champions! ๐Ÿ†
Huge congratulations to our U16 basketball team who secured an impressive 43โ€“25 victory over St Patrickโ€™s, Dungannon in the Ulster final!
The Abbey took control from the first whistle, showing relentless defensive work that kept St Patrickโ€™s off the boards throughout.
โญ Standout performances included great scores from team captain Jamie Goan, Daire McAteer, and Mark English, along with two incredible buzzer beaters from Tommy Dornan and Luke Oโ€™Neill.
A brilliant team effort from start to finish.
๐Ÿ“ฃ Next stop: the All-Ireland playoffs!
Weโ€™re right behind you, boys โ€” well done! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

26th November 2025

Congratulations to our U16 basketball team who recorded a very convincing win over St Columbโ€™s, Derry. They now advance to the Ulster Finals! ๐Ÿ‘
Our U19 basketballers also faced St Columbโ€™s in what can only be described as a thrilling semi-final. Both teams went bucket for bucket right to the final moments. Missing two of our big players meant the Abbey lads had to dig even deeper, but they rose to the challenge. Unfortunately, at the final whistle, the Abbey lost by just four points.
The boys played to the final buzzer and were a credit to the school throughout. For several of our players, this was their last game as Abbey men, and we wish them every success in the future.

๐Ÿ€ A Fantastic Week for Abbey Basketball! ๐Ÿ€
Huge congratulations to both our U16 and U19 squads who have booked their places in the Ulster semi-finals!

On Monday, both teams faced St Colmanโ€™s and came away with impressive scorelines and performances.

Our U19 squad were back in action again on Friday, playing two games back-to-back and securing strong wins over St Josephโ€™s Donaghmore and St Louis Grammar Ballymena.
Finishing top of their groups means both teams will enjoy home advantage in their semi-finals, where they will take on St Columbโ€™s, Derry.

Well done to all players and coaches โ€” a brilliant week of hard work, teamwork, and success.
Best of luck in the next round!
