Abbey Artistic History

We are honoured to receive a very special piece of our school’s artistic history. The family of the late Anthony Loughran (Burren) has kindly donated this beautiful poster, designed and hand-painted by Anthony himself in 1971 for our school production of Oliver!

Anthony was a talented artist whose creativity and spirit still inspire today. This poster is not just artwork — it’s a treasured memory of his time with us and a reminder of the rich legacy left behind by past pupils.

Pictured here are Principal Mrs. Savage, Vice Principal Mr. Ruddy, and Eoin Loughran, past pupil and proud grandson of Anthony, as they mark this touching moment of remembrance and appreciation.

The poster will now find a new home on the walls of our school, where it will continue to inspire future generations of Abbey students.
